Corporate, Commercial and Litigation Associate required for our firm based in Rosebank, Johannesburg. Develop your legal career in varied and interesting fields of law including aviation, franchising, corporate and international clients. The Role

The successful candidate will support on a wide range of matters with our aviation, franchise and general business clients. There is also opportunity to be involved in regulatory and compliance work and commercial based litigation.

You will be required to guide and develop the skills of the firm’s candidate attorney, brief counsel, hold consultations with clients and prepare notices and pleadings.

Qualifications & Skills

Admitted Attorney with between 2 and 5 years’ experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Clarity of Commercial thinking: understanding the commercial drivers of client’s business.

Language: conversational Greek

The Team

Our team has experience with transactions involving all types of business, and on the aviation side with aircraft and financing transactions and structures.

We act for many well known private companies, airlines, aircraft lessors, around the world.

We also advise and act on commercial disputes, and act on behalf of franchisors and other concerns including a number of international debt collection companies.

Essential Skills & Experience

• The successful candidate will be an admitted Attorney with right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa;
• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales will be an advantage;
• Experience working with aviation clients will be advantageous; and
• Caselines and Court Online experience is mandatory.
